Craft Hatch at ‘1000 Pound Bend’ August 2011

I was excited to be involved in the first Craft VictoriaCraft Hatch market at the new venue,’1000 Pound Bend‘ in Melbourne City on Saturday 13 August. It was a great day with lots of people wandering in off the street.  I met some great people there including ethelruby and lumiereartandco, and made some helpful connections.  Thanks to all involved. Below are some pics of my stall and the venue as well as some more of my ‘Tea Towel Landscapes’.  My next outing will be at the Port Fairy MADE Artist Market on Sat 15 October.

Tea Towel Landscapes

At the moment I am concentrating on making small pieces made with vintage tea towels, sizes no bigger than around 10-12cm in width.  These pieces are a homage to the ‘tourist tea towel’ and are mostly cut from tea towels from the 60s and 70s.

I’ll be taking these works to the Craft Victoria Craft Hatch Market on Saturday 13 August, 2011 at ‘1000 Pound Bend’ in Melbourne (Australia) go to Craft Victoria to get more info.
